PMO, in cooperation with CIVITTA International and World Health Organization (WHO), contributed to the implementation of the Regional Project which aimed at assessing and reporting the impact of digitalization and digital proximity tracing on national contact tracing programs in Eastern Partnership and Western Balkan countries during the COVID-19 pandemic. PMO was responsible for performing country-level analysis of the application and evaluating the success of this app to identify how successful the app was in fighting the pandemic. During the research, we conducted in-depth interviews with different stakeholders, representatives from public, governmental and non-governmental sectors. According to the information provided by stakeholders and desk research, we assessed the impact of digital proximity tracking technologies on the ability of the Georgia Government to effectively deliver public contact tracing responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. The result of the study provided in depth-review of the current situation, lessons learned so far and developed recommendations on how to improve the digital tracing systems.
