Commercial Due Diligence
The objective of this project was to help FMO determine the potential benefits and challenges of the modern grocery retail market in Georgia and its key players in order to assess the potential of rebranding the grocery retail chain Foodmart into Spar.
PMO made a detailed study of traditional and modern markets, including elements such as pricing, products, supply chain, regulations, key demand drivers and key risks. Based on this report, FMO made the decision to issue a significant long-term loan.
The retail trade network “Foodmart/Spar” was founded in 2013. The brand serves over 1 million people in 104 stores in Georgia every month.
