PMO, with the support of GIZ, implemented the project "Cost-Benefit Analysis Instructions and Training for Municipal Forest Management" in Chokhatauri, Ozurgeti, Lanchkhuti, Tianeti, Telavi, Akhmeta, Kvareli and Dedoplistskaro municipalities.
Within the framework of the project, a cost-benefit analysis instruction manual for municipal forest management was developed and trainings were conducted for municipal government officials, which served to equip the eight target municipality authorities with relevant knowledge to independently conduct a cost-benefit analysis of sustainable local/municipal forest management.
The manual created within the project will review all stages of analysis, categorization of costs and benefits, ways to calculate them taking into account the local context and legal base. Also, non-monetizing cost and benefit assessment with the help of a multi-criteria analysis (MCA) tool.
