EWMI’s Civil Society Engagement Project (CSEP) Launch Event
PMO organized a launch event for the new USAID Civil Society Engagement Program which was held at Gudiashvili Square. The organizing included logistical and other organizational aspects of the event.
With the goal of solidifying new civic actors and civil society organizations (CSOs) as trusted representatives of citizens’ interests and increasing communities’ capacities to advocate for their own benefit, USAID/Georgia and the East-West Management Institute (EWMI) have begun the five-year Civil Society Engagement Program. The program will take place over the course of the next five years and during that time, will help both formal and informal civic organizations and actors build their capacity and assess and fulfill citizens’ needs, facilitate partnerships to achieve higher impact, and open doors to other sources of funding to encourage sustainability.
