Regulatory Impact Assessment in the Field of the Establishment of a Regulatory System for Electrical Products in Georgia
One of the main priorities of Georgian government`s policy is to turn Georgian legislation framework into European frame. One of the steps of this general policy is to regulate Georgian electrical and electronic market with European directives. The reform itself considers implementation of two directives (Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electro Magnetic Compatibility Directive (EMCD)) during specific transaction period. In order to implement the reform effectively, USAID project “Governing for Growth-G4G” in collaboration with PMO Business Consulting conducts regulatory impact assistance (RIA).
Governing for Growth in Georgia (G4G) is a five-year multi-million dollar USAID project designed to support the Georgian government to create a better enabling environment in which legal and regulatory reforms are fairly and transparently conceived, implemented and enforced through consultative dialogue.
